Anurag Bajpayee is the Co-Founder and CEO of Gradiant, the first unicorn in the water industry. Under his leadership, Gradiant has grown from an MIT startup into a global leader in water and wastewater solutions—transforming how critical industries, including semiconductors, pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, renewables, and mining, manage and reuse water.

Guided by Gradiant’s purpose to ensure water for generations to come, Anurag has built a company that saves 6.5 billion liters of fresh water every day. His pioneering research in desalination and industrial water treatment laid the foundation for Gradiant, where he continues to innovate at the intersection of business, science, and sustainability to solve the world’s most important water challenges.

Anurag earned his master’s and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from MIT.
